Sweater 3
This pattern guides you step by step through a beautifully constructed sweater that’s just as thoughtful in the making as it is in the wearing. Knit from the top down, you’ll begin with the back, shaping it gently with increases before picking up stitches for the shoulders. These are worked flat, then joined to form the front.
Once the front and back meet, the body comes together on a circular needle and flows effortlessly in the round. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are also worked in the round, and everything is finished with crisp 2x2 ribbing using a smaller needle for a clean, defined edge. A double button band with buttonholes adds a touch of detail and makes styling a breeze.
Whether layered up or worn on its own, this is the kind of sweater you’ll reach for again and again.
